500g strong white flour (extra for dusting)
75g caster sugar
30g baking powder
75g soft butter
230ml milk
1 medium egg for egg wash
Beat the 2 medium eggs with a fork. Mix eggs, flour, sugar, baking powder, butter and milk in a food mixer.
Preheat the oven to gas 7.
Egg wash the scones again before putting in the oven for 15 minutes.
