0.5 tsp quick action dried yeast
250g strong white flour
1 tsp sugar
0.5 tsp salt
0.5 tsp baking powder
1 tblsp vegetable oil
2 tblsp natural yogurt
100ml water
Filling
70g nuts (suggest pistachios, walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts or a combination)
35g raisins
1.5 tsp caster sugar
The dough is made in the breadmaker.
Put the yeast into the breadmaker first, followed by the other ingredients. Set on the basic dough program (16 on our machine).
Blitz the filling together in a food processor.
Split the dough into four. Roll each piece of the dough out into a rough circle and spread a quarter of the filling on half of the circle, leaving an edge uncovered.
Put the naans under the grill for approx. 8 minutes turning a couple times and eat immediately.
