1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
2 tsp ground ginger (3 if you like really gingery)
100g butter
175g light muscovado sugar (I used dark brown sugar for this batch)
4 tbls golden syrup
1 large egg
Sweets and icing for decorating
Preheat the oven to gas 5. Line or grease two baking trays.
Mix together the flour, bicarbonate of soda and ginger in a bowl.
