1 sachet easy bake yeast (7g)
1 tsp salt
300ml water
300ml milk
Crumpets are just as easy as pancakes, just slightly more time consuming.
In a large bowl, mix together flour, yeast and salt.
Warm the water and milk together and pour into the flour mixture. Beat the milk into the flour until it's smooth. Put somewhere warm for an hour until frothy.
Fill each ring about 2cm deep with batter – if your rings are only 2m deep, leave a slight gap at the top as the mixture will rise.
Serve warm with butter or allow to cool and toast later.
