Paprika or grain mustard
150g grated cheese
Small egg
Preheat the oven to Gas 4.
Roll out the puff pastry to the thickness of a £1 coin. Beat the egg.
Egg wash the bottom half of the pastry and sprinkle on half the grated cheese. If using paprika, sprinkle a bit over the top of the cheese.
Repeat the egg wash, cheese and paprika or spread mustard over the pasty before the cheese and omit the paprika. Press the cheese down lightly with the rolling pin.
