50g brown sugar
2 tbl sp golden syrup
2 tbl sp black treacle
0.5 tsp mixed spice
0.5 tsp cinnamon
200g rolled oats
50g sultanas
50g dried cranberries
Preheat the oven to gas 5.
Line an 8in x 8in square tin with baking paper.
Melt the butter, sugar and syrup together in a saucepan big enough to hold all the ingredients. Add the spices.
Cook for 20 mins until lightly browned. As soon as you get it out, carefully score into 16 pieces then leave in the tin until it is set. Lift out of the tin onto a cooling rack, and cut up once cold.
