2/3 cup plain flour
¼ tsp salt
8 egg whites
¼ cup water
1 tsp vanilla
¼ tsp lemon juice
½ cup granulated sugar
I found this recipe on the internet because I had egg whites to use up. It produces a very light fluffy sponge.
Preheat the oven to gas 5.
Sieve the flour and icing sugar together and mix in the salt.
Cool on a wire rack. The number of cakes will depend on how big your cases are, but this mixture made about 20.
